how i work

My approach is straightforward. Understand the issue, agree the next steps, and deal with it properly

Step 1 – Short call first

I spend 10–15 minutes understanding the issue and checking I’m a good fit.

Step 2 – Clear approach

For small issues, i’ll usually deal with it there and then.
For anything more involved, i’ll agree the way forward before starting.

Step 3 – Sensible charges

A minimum charge for small jobs. Clear pricing for anything bigger. No surprise invoices.

VMTech IT is deliberately small by design. Keeping it small means less handover, less repetition, and fewer surprises. Just straightforward IT support, handled properly.

VMTech IT is run by me, Martin Clarke. That’s me in the photo above, in my office, helping a customer.

I provide practical IT support for home users, home offices, and small businesses who simply want their technology to work without fuss. I handle the technical work personally, from the first call through to resolution.

VMTech IT is a small, family-run business. While I carry out the IT work myself, my wife Vikki supports the business behind the scenes – hence VMTech IT.

There’s no call centre, no scripts, and no long-term contracts. You get clear explanations, sensible advice, and problems dealt with properly.
